Drive against school students driving vehicles without license

Ahmedabad's Rural District Education Officer has ordered all schools to strictly enforce rules prohibiting students from bringing vehicles without valid driving licenses to school. This new directive aligns with the Motor Vehicle Act, which schools are required to follow rigorously.

Random inspections, coordinated with the Regional Transport Office (RTO), will begin next week, and violators will face penalties. Schools are also urged to educate students on road safety and the importance of adhering to traffic laws.

NID Ahmedabad student wins international recognition with Student Academy Award

Akshit Kumar, a BDes Animation Film Design student from the National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad, has won a prestigious Student Academy Award in the Alternative/Experimental category for his animated film “bonVoyage pour monVoyage”. 

The film, based on Akshit’s personal travel experiences in India, reflects the country's cultural richness through innovative animation techniques.

IndiGo boosts connectivity with daily Ahmedabad-Raipur flights starting October

Starting the 1st of October, IndiGo will increase the frequency of its flights between Ahmedabad and Raipur to a daily service. Previously, the flights were available only three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Following approval from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the airline has opened ticket bookings for this new schedule.

Foundation work for 8 stations in Guj complete for Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project has progressed with the completion of foundation work for eight stations in Gujarat. Key construction milestones include the installation of 350 kilometres of pier foundations and the launching of 190 kilometers of girders.

Work has also commenced on a 21-kilometer undersea tunnel, which is expected to enhance connectivity along the route. The required 1,389.5 hectares of land for the project have been acquired, allowing construction to continue towards its next phases.
