In preparation for the monsoon season, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has activated its seven control rooms, one in each zone. Citizens can now lodge complaints about dangerous billboards, dilapidated houses, tree collapses, potholes, road cave-ins, and waterlogging through designated WhatsApp numbers for each zone.

Ahead of the new academic session, the Ahmedabad Regional Transport Office (RTO) has commenced a comprehensive fitness inspection of all school vehicles, including rickshaws and vans, from Thursday.
This initiative aims to ensure that all vehicles transporting children comply with essential safety norms. Drivers with the necessary documentation will receive fitness certificates, and parents are advised to verify these safety measures.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has updated its forecast for the arrival of the monsoon in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and surrounding regions, now predicting the first showers by Monday, June 10.
