The Centre is set to allocate funds to develop Clean Street Food Hubs in four cities of Gujarat, including Ahmedabad. These food hubs, consisting of food stalls, will be developed in accordance with the guidelines provided by the central advisory committee of the Food Safety and Standards Authority.

Local authorities will offer land to small vendors, while the National Health Mission will provide Rs 1 crore grant for each street hub. These officers are equipped with radium life-jackets and carry light batons for their night shifts. To curb reckless driving and prevent accidents amidst heightened traffic, they also wield speed guns for monitoring purposes.

Furthermore, during this period, 149 breath analyzers will be put into action to identify and penalize offenders.
