AMC's Initiative: Pink Toilets for Women

The AMC is set to inaugurate five new women-exclusive toilets on Gandhi Jayanti. These toilets are equipped with essential amenities, including a feeding room, vending machine for sanitary napkins, incineration units for disposing of used sanitary napkins, and changing rooms with mirrors. Painted in pink color, these facilities will be managed by female caretakers and will be accessible to the public free of charge.

A recent ongoing study, encompassing 2,715 individuals from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, has uncovered a concerning statistic: one in every five Gujaratis is hypertensive. Furthermore, the research indicates that individuals suffering from hypertension tend to have hearts that are approximately 13.5 years older, biologically, than their chronological age. In preparation for the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2024, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled the VG-2024 website, a mobile app, and a comprehensive brochure. These digital tools provide extensive information about the summit's events, as well as insights into the state's policies and performance. They are designed to attract both domestic and international investors to the Global Summit, themed as 'Gateway to the Future.'

AMC's appreciation for Safai Mitras

The AMC organized the Safai Mitra Suraksha Shivir, a medical check-up camp for its dedicated staff across all 48 wards. This initiative was a gesture to acknowledge and support the tireless efforts of those individuals who work diligently to keep Ahmedabad clean and functioning smoothly.

Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway: A Greenfield Connectivity

The Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway, spanning 109 kilometers, is a significant greenfield project that promises to reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera by an hour. It will also provide direct connectivity to the Dholera Greenfield Airport. This ambitious project, with an estimated cost of 4,000 crore rupees, involves constructing a four-lane highway.
