Sattvik Food Fest starts from today
The Sattvik Traditional Food Festival, showcasing over 300 traditional dishes from various Indian states, kicks off today at Bhagwat Vidyapith, Sola. Organized by SRISTI, this culinary event features a diverse array of organic produce and dishes that are not only Sattvik but also integral to the culinary heritage of the nation.
Stalls representing states such as Manipur, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Kashmir, Bihar, Rajasthan, and more are set up for visitors.
Enforcement of strict traffic policy in Ahmedabad
For the next 15 days, strict enforcement of traffic rules will be in effect in Ahmedabad. Motorists will face fines for violations such as parking in no-parking zones, speeding, running red lights, not wearing seat belts or helmets, and not having proper vehicle documents.
Special drives will be conducted at five key traffic points in Ahmedabad, including the route from Stadium Circle towards the west, Zydus Hospital Circle and beyond, Judges Bungalow Road and further, Thaltej to Sheelaj Road, and Prabhat Chowk to the High Court. Fines will be imposed on violators at these locations as part of the strict enforcement measures.
SVPI Airport gears up for expansion
In response to the burgeoning air connectivity between Ahmedabad and national and global cities, the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport is gearing up for an expansion plan.
The commencement of new operations including the recently added five new airlines from the city has prompted the expansion of two terminals in the last two years, with the airport currently undergoing further expansion projects to accommodate the increased air traffic.
Gujarat's first RESCO mode solar plant unveiled
Gujarat witnesses a milestone with the installation of the state's first RESCO mode rooftop solar plant at the Sabarmati Multi-modal Transit Hub building in Ahmedabad. A 700 KW solar power plant has been established under the RESCO mode, ensuring sustainable energy practices.
The Sabarmati Multi-modal Transit Hub Building, designed to facilitate seamless connectivity to the HSR system and various modes of transport, including railway stations, metro, BRTS, and other road transport modes.
