As the work on Mumbai-Ahmedabad high speed rail corridor picks up pace, the Anand-Nadiad station has become the first on the corridor to complete its concourse level. According to a fresh press release from National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited, the slab work on the station, which began back in September 2022, culminated on Tuesday, April 12.

The 425 meter long concourse will have 9 portions

The concourse level at the Anand HSR station, which is 425 meter long, has been divided into 9 portions. In terms of design and appearance, the Anand HSR station will boast a white facade and interiors, which is a shoutout to the milk revolution that the district is known for.

The station will also have a range of amenities for passengers ranging from shops and a nursery to a business lounge and waiting area while the platform at the station will be a two-sided one. It is noteworthy that the said station will be the second stop for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train which will begin its journey from Ahmedabad's Sabarmati station.
