Coldplay adds second concert in Ahmedabad, sold out within minutes

Iconic British band Coldplay has added a second concert in Ahmedabad as part of their Music of the Spheres world tour. Scheduled for the 26th of January, the announcement comes after the band's initial show on the 25th of January sold out within minutes of tickets going live.

The newly added performance, marking Coldplay’s fifth show in India, witnessed a similar frenzy, with tickets disappearing in seconds. Fans employed multiple devices and accounts to secure their spots but faced technical glitches and long wait times, leaving many disappointed. Notably, both the shows are set to happen at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Riverfront set to get another river cruise with a banquet hall and dining area

Ahmedabad will soon get a luxury banquet river cruise, set to operate between Atal Bridge and Dadhichi Bridge on the Sabarmati River. To be developed in collaboration with a private company, the project, costing ₹25 crore, aims to enhance tourism and attract destination weddings to the city.

The 49-meter-long cruise will accommodate up to 350 guests, making it ideal for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. A jetty with a 700-tonne capacity will be constructed for boarding. Tickets will be available both online and offline, with operations expected to begin by May or June next year.

Riverfront BJ Park near Ellis Bridge to get a 'Fragrance Park'

The Sabarmati Riverfront Development Authority has announced plans to build a ‘Fragrance Park’ within BJ Park, near Ellis Bridge. The park will feature aromatic plants and trees adding a sensory charm to the riverfront area.

Spread across 1.7 hectares, BJ Park will complement other upcoming riverfront attractions, including an entertainment hub and luxury hotel. Inspired by similar fragrance parks in Lucknow and Chandigarh, the project aims to make the riverfront one of Gujarat's most attractive destinations. Work on the park is expected to commence soon.
