AMTS expands bus routes around Sardar Patel Ring Road

To accommodate the increasing development and traffic around the Sardar Patel Ring Road, the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) is introducing new bus routes.

Starting on the 22nd of October, three additional routes will be launched, allowing commuters to travel conveniently from Vaishnodevi Circle to Sanathal Circle. According to AMTS Committee Chairman, the expansion addresses the growing traffic demands and includes 20 buses to service the new routes.

New Routes:

  1. Ranasan to Vaishnodevi Circle

  2. Vaishnodevi Circle to Sanathal Circle

  3. Sanathal Circle to Aslali

Gujarat’s first cooperative supermarket opens in Ahmedabad

Gujarat’s first cooperative supermarket, “Gujco Mart,” has opened its doors on Science City Road, Ahmedabad. The initiative, launched by the Gujarat Cooperative Marketing Federation (Gujcomasol), is spearheaded by Dileep Sanghani, a key figure in India’s cooperative sector.

Gujco Mart aims to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers, ensuring that producers receive the benefits of the value-added supply chain directly.

Ahmedabad student trio wins silver at national World Robot Olympiad

Three students from Ahmedabad—Devansh Awatramani, Sheel Mehta, and Shayaan Patel—clinched the silver medal at the national level of the World Robot Olympiad held in the city. Competing among 49 teams from across India, they earned the Robot Design Award and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh.

The trio will represent India in the Robomission Junior Category at the International World Robot Olympiad in Turkey later this year.

Gujarat board exams to be held in February for the first time

In a first, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct Class 10 and 12 exams in February 2025. Traditionally held in March, this change aims to avoid scheduling conflicts with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The shift is also intended to accelerate supplementary exams and streamline student admissions. Additionally, the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is scheduled for the 23rd of March 2025.
