Pre-monsoon showers predicted from June 7

Pre-monsoon activities in Ahmedabad are expected to start between June 7 - 12, with the main monsoon rains anticipated to arrive in the last week of June. On Tuesday, the city recorded a high of 41.8°C and a low of 29.7°C. Despite the subsiding heatwave, temperatures remain high and humid.

According to Meteorologist Ankit Patel, pre-monsoon activities will begin due to upper air cyclonic circulation. However, the southwest monsoon will pause around Mumbai and South Gujarat for 8-10 days. As a result, rains will first reach South Gujarat before moving to Ahmedabad by the end of June.
