Clean Street Food hub to come up at Vastrapur Lake

The Centre is set to allocate funds to develop Clean Street Food Hubs in four cities of Gujarat, including Ahmedabad. These food hubs, consisting of food stalls, will be developed in accordance with the guidelines provided by the central advisory committee of the Food Safety and Standards Authority.

Local authorities will offer land to small vendors, while the National Health Mission will provide Rs 1 crore grant for each street hub. This funding will be utilized for the development of common facilities, which will include dust-free flooring and storage. In Ahmedabad, one such food hub will grace the of Vastrapur Lake.

Traffic Police prepares for Navratri congestion

As the city of Ahmedabad immerses itself in the festivities of Navratri, the local traffic police are bracing for chaotic jams that tend to engulf the streets from evening until late at night. In a bid to ensure the smooth flow of vehicular movement, 2100 traffic personnel have been strategically stationed.

These officers are equipped with radium life-jackets and carry light batons for their night shifts. To curb reckless driving and prevent accidents amidst heightened traffic, they also wield speed guns for monitoring purposes.

Furthermore, during this period, 149 breath analyzers will be put into action to identify and penalize offenders.

SVPI Airport enhances departure and immigration area

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport has responded to the demands of surging passenger numbers during peak hours by expanding the departure and immigration area at International Terminal-2.

This newly added area is furnished with state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, designed to streamline the immigration process and minimize waiting times for travelers.
