In a historic move, the Men's Volleyball Club World Championships 2023 will be hosted in Bangalore, India. The anticipation is high, especially for Indian fans, as Ahmedabad Defenders, reigning champions of Prime Volleyball League (PVL) season 2, will become the first Indian club to participate in this global competition.

Ahmedabad International Children's Film Festival set to start from tomorrow

Commencing on December 8th, the 5th edition of the Ahmedabad International Children's Film Festival promises a captivating experience. Over 25 documentary films from 16 countries will be showcased at the Ahmedabad Management Association until December 10th.

In addition to film screenings, the festival will feature a filmmaking master class by Pankaj Roy, a film bazaar, and various workshops, enhancing the cinematic experience for young audiences.

Municipality initiates white topping road project

Responding to flooded and worn-out roads due to heavy traffic, AMC has initiated a white topping road project in various areas of the city. After a successful pilot project involving three white topping roads at a cost of Rs.20 crore, the municipality plans to construct a total of 90 white topping roads throughout the city.

Of these, 55 roads will adopt the white topping method in the eastern region. Ongoing works in North West Zone and Maninagar in South Zone are expected to be completed by February, with the entire project slated for completion within the next 10 months.

City based firm prepares Ram Mandir’s ornate brass features

Shree Ambica Engineering Works, a venerable workshop in Ahmedabad's Gota area, has been awarded a significant contract for crafting seven flag poles and 42 doors, exclusively using "special-graded brass," for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Every component within the temple, including the main 5,500 kg, 44 feet high flag pole and six additional 750 kg, 20 feet high flag poles, is being meticulously fashioned from brass.
