Pro Kabaddi League season 10 will kicks off in Ahmedabad

The 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is all set to commence with a thrilling match-up between the Gujarat Giants and Telugu Titans. The match will take place at the renowned Arena by Transstadia Stadium in Ahmedabad, scheduled for December 2.

Kabaddi enthusiasts can enjoy the action-packed extravaganza as the Ahmedabad leg of the season runs until December 7. This season marks a return to the coveted 12-city format, promising even more excitement for fans across the country.

Dialysis centers coming to Narola and Vastral

To enhance healthcare access, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is gearing up to establish dialysis centers in the North and East Zones, specifically in Narola and Vastral. These facilities will be developed through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Each center will feature five beds and will be staffed with a skilled technician, a nephrologist, and other specialized professionals, adhering to rigorous guidelines. Furthermore, holders of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana cards can also benefit from travel cost reimbursements when seeking treatment at these centers.

8 AM to 10 PM ban on bus operations within city continues

To maintain traffic flow and ensure the safety of motorists, the entry of passenger vehicles and buses within the city remains restricted between 8 am and 10 pm. In response to this regulation, bus drivers filed a plea to lift the ban as it was adversely impacting their operations.

However, the Gujarat High Court has, as of Tuesday, rejected this plea, choosing to uphold the ban in the interest of public safety.

Strict action against non-compliant food stalls during Navratri festival

The ongoing Navratri festival has sparked a surge in the food business, with late-night street food stalls and eateries witnessing a remarkable influx of patrons. However, it has come to the attention of the AMC Food Department that many of these establishments are not complying with health and hygiene guidelines.

To address this issue, the department has issued a total of 40 notices to food stalls operating at popular venues. In a bid to ensure public health and safety, authorities are planning to intensify their inspection efforts. Any food units found lacking in meeting the specified requirements may face legal closure or other fines.

City weather update

In recent days, the city has experienced cooler temperatures, particularly during the night. On Thursday, the maximum temperature reached 35.5°C, which was 0.2 degrees lower than the previous day.

But the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts a slight increase in the maximum temperature for the city in the upcoming days, ensuring residents are prepared for these mild changes in weather conditions.
