IMD issues yellow alert for heavy rain in Ahmedabad

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Ahmedabad as heavy rain is expected in the coming days. The active monsoon trough over Gujarat is predicted to bring moderate to heavy rainfall to most parts of the state.

From the 23rd of August to the 26th of August, Ahmedabad is likely to experience cloudy skies with heavy downpours, and temperatures are expected to range between 25°C and 34°C. The monsoon's impact has already been felt in the city, with 19 flights delayed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday due to bad weather.

These sensors will be connected to a command-and-control center, providing real-time alerts on air pollution levels. In areas where pollution is most severe, mist machines will be deployed as part of the broader strategy to improve air quality.
