As Navratri starts from today, excitement builds across Ahmedabad, with garba nights being the highlight of the season. However, many have been concerned about the potential for rain disrupting the festivities. Fortunately, there's some good news on the horizon for Amdavadis!
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted clear skies for the next six days, easing the worries of those planning to dance the night away. After the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon in September brought heavy rains, several garba venues faced interruptions last week. Now, with dry weather expected, the celebrations can continue uninterrupted under the stars.
IMD has also indicated that there will be no major changes in maximum and minimum temperatures over the next four days. However, a slight rise of 2-3°C is expected afterward. Currently, Ahmedabad’s maximum temperature is recorded at 35.6°C, 0.4°C above normal, while the minimum is 27.5°C, 3.1°C higher than the usual average. High humidity levels have left many residents feeling uncomfortable, but the absence of rain is a silver lining.
With weather concerns eased, garba fans can fully immerse themselves in the festive spirit, as the city prepares to dance its way through Navratri with excitement!
