Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav: CM launches 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign in Gujarat

The Prime Minister has launched the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign, spanning from August 9 to August 30, as an integral facet of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav. This initiative serves as a tribute to the unwavering dedication of both soldiers and citizens who have selflessly sacrificed their lives for the nation's greater good.

Notably, in Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated this campaign statewide from the serene environs of the Tapi district.

Honoring the legacies of our national heroes

Commemorating Independence Day and paying homage to India's martyrs, the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign seeks to honor the legacies of our national heroes. During the launch of the statewide campaign at Gunsada Primary School in Songadh Taluka of Tapi, CM Patel also unveiled 'Shilaphalakam' (memorial plaques) on the school premises.

Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the significance of this endeavor, promoting unity and a strong sense of responsibility among citizens. He encouraged everyone to work towards a developed India and eliminate any remnants of colonial mindset.

The campaign's objective is to instill a deep sense of patriotism among citizens, motivating them to actively contribute to the nation's progress while taking immense pride in its history, heritage, and culture.

In a touching gesture, retired CRPF soldiers, Dineshbhai Hollabhai Gamit of Chachararbunda, Tapi, and Sureshbhai Chhanabhai Gamit of Patel Faliya, Gunsada, were also honored during the event.
