Bucky Gallery and Diner, the newest gem from The House of MG, combines historical charm with innovative design, offering a unique spot in Ahmedabad.
The space features a futuristic dome that serves as an art gallery, hosting regular exhibitions and events. Alongside, the cafe offers a welcoming atmosphere with an all-day menu and a delicious breakfast spread, making it a popular choice for both art lovers and food enthusiasts.
Situated within the Mangalbaug Residency, this space enchants visitors with its lush greenery and a striking architectural feature: a charcoal grey, origami-like dome. This unique structure, inspired by the futuristic designs of American architect Buckminster Fuller, serves as a popular venue for exhibitions and performances.
The adjoining diner, with its sage green tables and chairs under a rustic wooden roof, provides a cosy atmosphere for enjoying a meal or a cup of masala chai or cold coffee. The cafe’s seasonal menu keeps things fresh, but regulars swear by the palak methi na muthiya and dahi papdi chaat.
Despite the hum of nearby traffic, the cafe's soothing ambience, enhanced by open-air seating under tree canopies, makes it an ideal spot for a relaxed hangout with friends or family. Recently, Bucky Diner introduced a delightful breakfast menu, featuring dishes like scrambled eggs with toast and cutlet, the Bucky special smoothie, and both savoury and sweet waffles. Its onion, cheese, and tomato open toast has quickly become a favourite.
Whether you’re visiting for a peaceful meal, an art exhibition, or a special event, Bucky Gallery and Diner offers a perfect blend of culture, comfort, and culinary delights.
