The city of Ahmedabad is now hosting the inaugural edition of the Ahmedabad Open Golf Championship. The prestigious sporting event kickstarted on April 19 and will go on 22. Showcasing elite national and international golfers, all competing at the esteemed championship, the event is being held at the Glade One Golf Resort & Club in Ahmedabad.
Moreover, the four-day championship, consisting of several rounds is being jointly organized by the esteemed TATA Steel Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and Glade One Golf Resort & Club.
The stakes are high as the championship features a prize pool of ₹1 crore

With the inaugural edition of the event, the greens of Ahmedabad are featuring a fierce lineup of top-notch Indian professionals including Aman Raj, Veer Ahlawat, Gaurav Pratap Singh, Karan Pratap Singh among others. Joining these elite Indian golfers will be some of the world’s most renowned players from the United States, Japan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The Ahmedabad Open Golf Championship will feature a prize pool of ₹1 crore.
In addition, the championship further consists of a unique format, with two rounds of 9 holes each, followed by two rounds of 18 holes each. A cut will be applied after the first 18 holes. Overall, the tournament is being contested over a total of 54 holes, with the third and fourth rounds consisting of 18 holes each.

Among a total of 126 players, 123 professionals and 3 amateurs are competing during Ahmedabad Open, all vying for the coveted championship title.
