Knocksense Shorts | Ahmedabad RTO resumes driving tests, 450 applications processed daily

After being offline for 12 days, RTOs across the state have finally resumed their driving test server on March 28th.

Zeal Jani

After a frustrating 12-day hiatus, individuals in Gujarat seeking driving licenses can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The server for driving test tracks in RTO offices, which had been offline since March 15, is now back in action as of March 28. This development comes as a welcome relief for applicants in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, and Rajkot.

During regular operations, the Ahmedabad West RTO typically processes over 350 driving test applications everyday. However, the inactive test track server in Ahmedabad had caused significant inconvenience, affecting more than 200 two-wheeler and 175 four-wheeler applicants each day.

In response to the backlog, the RTO office has ramped up its efforts. More than 450 applications are now being processed daily, compared to the usual 350 appointments on regular test track days. The RTO office has assured applicants that the pending work will be completed within the next 15 days, providing a much-needed guarantee of swift resolution.
