Ahmedabad has been at the receiving end of weather anomaly for past some days. The city had cloudy weather but no precipitation on March 20 after two consecutive rain nights. The maximum and minimum temperatures stood at 33°C and 22°C respectively, on March 22, which is lower than normal. However, thunder storms are expected today between 08:00 pm to 09:00 pm and again at 11:00 pm.

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, there will be no major change in minimum or maximum temperatures for the next two-three days. While the systems causing rainfall in Ahmedabad are likely to weaken by the end of the week, it is likely that districts such as Banaskantha, Bharuch, Rajkot, Kutch, and Surat will receive light thunderstorms coupled with lightning and gusting wind.
