Gujarat is gearing up for unexpected rain and thunderstorms as the Meteorological Department issues a Yellow Alert across the state. Over the next 24 hours, citizens can expect rain accompanied by thunder throughout Gujarat, along with heightened humidity levels adding to discomfort. In specific regions like Saurashtra and South Gujarat, a yellow alert has been issued for lightning and rain for the next two to three days.

In Ahmedabad, despite cloudy skies, temperatures are expected to hover around 42 degrees Celsius, contributing to muggy conditions. The city may witness rainfall during today, similar to the previous evening's downpour. Yesterday, after 4:30 pm, the weather abruptly shifted, bringing strong winds, gales, and showers. Similar conditions could prevail today, prompting residents to remain cautious.
