Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Results | Traffic orders issued for Ahmedabad until June 4 midnight

Several routes will be diverted till midnight (June 4).

As the 2024 Lok Sabha Election vote counting is scheduled for today, June 4, the Ahmedabad Police Commissioner has issued a traffic advisory for areas around the counting centres at Gujarat College and LD Engineering College.

To manage traffic around these locations, vehicle movement will be restricted and several routes will be diverted, till midnight on June 4. According to a notification from the Commissioner of Police, vote counting for the Lok Sabha General Election will occur at the Commerce College Building in Gujarat College Campus, Ellis Bridge, and LD Engineering College in Navrangpura.

Specific Road Closures:

  • The road from Inder Residency to Gujarat College to Kavi Nanalal Overbridge will be closed to vehicular traffic.

  • The road from LD Engineering College's main gate to Dada Saheb Na Pagla Cross Road will be inaccessible to all types of vehicles.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes as provided in the police notification. An enhanced police presence will be maintained at the gates of these locations, and entry will be restricted without proper permission.

Additional security measures include a designated access layer for reaching the counting room, with clear arrangements posted on boards throughout the campus. A medical team will also be on standby at the counting center.
