Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train’s underground BKC station construction to begin soon

To bring together the bullet train project, the government has invested almost ₹3,681 crore already.

The Mumbai - Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR), or Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train, is a highly anticipated, under-construction rail network line, which will connect India’s financial hub - Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Gujrat.

Recently, in a monumental step, the Maharashtra State Government granted permission to authorities to build the underground station at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai.

52 months left till completion of the project 

The contract of the underground project has been given to National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) - Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) venture for the design and roadmap planning.

As per the specifications, about 24 meters deep from the group level, the platform will have three loops including a concourse, platform, two entry/exit points for passengers to access the metro station without any hassle. Also, it will house enough space inside for amenities at the concourse and platform level.

Further, NHSRCL and MEIL-HCC Joint Venture has been given 52 months (4.5 years) to complete the whole project. Further, the government has already invested almost ₹3,681 crore for its erection. Once completed, this will be India's first high-speed rain line.
