When ICC released the list of fixtures for the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, cricket fans in Ahmedabad rejoiced. Why? Because they will get to witness the biggest world cup games in their city, including the first game and the world cup final.
Motera will also host IND vs PAK and AUS vs ENG games at the world cup
Apart from being the venue where the World Cup will start and end, Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium will host a number of marquee matches. These will include the much-awaited India vs Pakistan game on October 15 and the match between fierce rivals Australia and England on November 4.
Apart from that, Motera stadium will also host the South Africa vs Afghanistan game on November 10. Which means that, at least, 4 out of the 5 games hosted by Ahmedabad are massive games, featuring some of the most talented cricket players from across the globe.
