New Bio-CNG Plant to come up in Ahmedabad soon

Adani Total Gas Limited has received a nod from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation for a 500 Ton per-day capacity Bio-CNG Plant in Ahmedabad. According to the work order, the company can go ahead with the designing, building, finance, and operation of the plant, which will all be done on a PPP model.

202 locations in Ahmedabad termed 'No flying zones' for drones

Ahmedabad Police Commissioner has announced a total of 202 new 'no flying zones' for drones in the city. Out of these areas, 36 have been classified as 'red zones' and the remaining 166 in 'yellow zones'. The areas in red are strictly 'no flying' while the ones in yellow will require a special permission to fly drones.

Light rain, lightning predicted in Ahmedabad this Fri-Sat

According to predictions by the Indian Meteorological Department, Ahmedabad might witness light rain with lightning on Friday and Saturday. It is noteworthy that scorching heat has persisted in Ahmedabad from the starting of this week but the approaching weekend is expected to bring some relief.

Private bus fares double in Ahmedabad ahead of festive season

As we step into the thick of the festive season, private bus fares from Ahmedabad to nearby districts like Rajkot, Junagadh, and Amreli have doubled. Furthermore, the single sleeper coach fare on these routes has shot up from ₹500 to ₹1000.

Ahmedabad airport witnesses 35% hike in avian, animal strikes

After a decrease in animal and avian strikes in the years 2021 and 2022, Ahmedabad airport has seen a 35% increase in these encounters the next year. In 2022-23, a total of 38 arriving and departing aircrafts suffered bird hits, as opposed to 29 in 2021-22.
