The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has come up with a special scheme to help the failed candidates of grades 9 and 11. Reportedly, the officials are thinking to introduce a policy, wherein the unsuccessful students of standards 9 and 11 exams from the 2021 session, can appear as private applicants for the 10th and 12th board exams in 2022. As per reports, this will be a one-time provision and the citizens have been requested to send in their suggestions.

As per reports, the board has already revised the scheme for the private candidates of standards 10 and 12, set to sit for exams in the ongoing 2021-22 session. Under this new plan, the board examination results for these candidates will also include a specific component of year-round internal assessments.

Reportedly, the Goa Board in its Annual General Body Meeting on September 18 decided to seek the opinions of the shareholders and public for its current proposal. Thereby, the officials and citizens will decide upon the future of failed students from standards 9 and 11.

The decision for this will be taken after the concerned committee assesses the suggestions sent by the public. As per reports, the board has announced September 24, as the last date for submitting recommendations. Thereafter, the authorities will take the final call for determining the fate of the students.
