Following the relocation of the traditional fish vendors under a shed, the Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) is now set to move the fruit vendors from the footpaths to a temporary shed by next week. The MMC chairperson inspected the new market on Wednesday in order to ensure proper services at the location.

Additionally, the move is aimed at providing standard services to the pavement vendors and ensuring ample parking space on the road, reducing a major problem of traffic congestion in the city.
