A first of its kind helicopter service is set to boost tourism in Goa. This new service started by BLADE India, was launched recently by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
The helicopter service will boost connectivity within the state while also connecting Goa to other states like Maharashtra with private charter services.
After the overwhelming support from Karnataka and Maharashtra, BLADE India has now stepped into the Goan landscape by starting 3 helicopter services. Talking about the newly-launched service, Pramod Sawant sadi,"Heli Tourism will let us explore the hinterlands of Goa like never before."
On the introduction of new routes, Mr Amit Dutta, MD, BLADE India said, "The aim of heli-tourism services is to make places more accessible through short-haul air mobility. The Goa airport and North-South Goa have always been disconnected due to the road travel time involved and have been a pain point for travellers in Goa and locals alike. The goal is to bridge the gap between the two locations and help local communities and businesses thrive by being connected."
As per BLADE India, this move is aimed to make Goa more accessible and easily navigable for travellers. Apart from boosting heli-tourism in the Coastal State, this service will also prove to be beneficial during medical emergencies.
Assuring full support for initiatives to promote tourism in the state, the CM of Goa said, "These services are necessary for Goa's tourism, medical emergency and commercial purposes. Tourists and locals will be able to access the service."
Reportedly, inbound travellers in Goa will offer by-the-seat helicopter services connecting Goa airport to North, South Goa and old Goa. In addition to this, there are private charter services from Maharashtra and experiential flights to soak in the stunning shorelines within Goa.
