One State, One App: An official Goa taxi app will be operational from 2023

The Goa government is all set to develop a single mobile app for taxi operators

Goa, being the epicenter of tourism in India, has large numbers of travellers dropping in and out. Often, travelling from one place to another can often become a daunting issue for visitors. Coming to the rescue, Goa administration is building a unique Goa Taxi App, which will be a common platform for the entire taxi industry of the state. Agencies like Goa Tourism Department and Goa Transport Ministry are working together to bring this app to fruition.

Integrated mobile application for all taxi providers 

According to a recent press release, 95% of the profits generated from the mobile application will be transferred to the taxi operators. The remaining 5% of the money will be moved to a pension and welfare fund.

The Goa administration claims to have no interest in the profits received from the venture but desires to built a robust transportation system for the people to facilitate hassle-free and easy movement from one place to another.

All taxi associations will be taken into confidence while designing the mobile application. The multi-modal application will be available to the people for use by the new year, stated reports.
