As a consequence of constantly falling daily cases, the test positivity rate in the district also witnessed a steep decline. The Indore District Administration (IDA) is optimistic that the annual procession Gair will be safe to hold on March 22 after being cancelled for two years in a row due to the threat of infection.
District collector Manish Singh informed that the administration has no order from the government to put a stop to upcoming festivities. This centuries-old tradition, where thousands of people gather outside the Rajwada was about to get documented in a film in the year 2020. However, the Coronavirus outbreak resulted in the halting of the documentary production for an indefinite period.
