Into the wild: Tiger reserves in MP finally open for visitors after 3 months of monsoon

All 6 tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh open for visitors now!

Khushbu Kirti

If you're a wildlife lover who doesn't have Diwali or Dussehra plans yet, fret not for we're here with an extensive itinerary diving deep into the wild pathways of India, especially curated for you!

All six exclusive tiger reserves in the heart of the country, Madhya Pradesh, reopened on October 1, after a hiatus of three months of monsoon, and we cannot wait to plan a trip to explore serene geology, brackish waters and its majestic wildlife!

MP's rich wildlife areas

India is home to about 52 tiger reserves, out of which six in MP include Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Kanha Tiger Reserve, Panna Tiger Reserve, Pench Tiger Reserve, Sanjay-Dubri Tiger Reserve, and Satpura Tiger Reserve.

Even though the buffer zones were operational during the three months of monsoon, the core areas of the aforementioned reserves were shut during the mating season. Moreover, the pathways of the forests become muddy and unmotorable due to the rains. For those who are wondering, the core area of a national park is its middle dense part with ample water and food for the animals. Whereas, the buffer zones cover the area between the rural area and the core zone.

Excursion in the park

Now, let's come to the point! The Madhya Pradesh tiger reserves are open for booking and if you hurry now, you might be able to book a seat around Diwali! Booking is available from 11 AM onwards on https://forest.mponline.gov.in/ .

Here, guided safaris are available and you can hang out with your gang in the view of breathtaking wildlife! Sounds pretty cool, eh?

Madhya Pradesh, currently, has some 526 tigers, making it home to the largest number of big cats in the country. So, if you're planning a trip into the wild, make sure you have your bookings right and on time! Wishing you a great excursion this Diwali *insert shaka emoji*.
