Jaipur-based AnanTaya Decor founder, Geetanjali Kalisiwal bagged the World Craft Council Award of Excellence 2022 for their product, Bidri stationery accessories. AnanTaya Decor offers contemporary handcrafted home furnishings products made by local craftsmen and artisans.
In order to ensure continuity and sustainability of traditional artforms, the award specifically focuses on encouraging artisans to produce handicrafts that use traditional skills, patterns and themes following innovation.
AnanTaya, along with AKFD, was also recently honoured with the prestigious Craft Brand of the Year title, by the International Craft Council 2022. The organisation is a globally recognized interdisciplinary lifestyle design studio co-founded by Ayush (designer) and Geetanjali Kasliwal (architect).
The WCC Award of Excellence is conferred after evaluating the handicraft items in four key areas- excellence, authenticity, innovation and marketability.

The award is aimed at lifting quality standards, raising international awareness and strengthening the promotional potential of handicraft products which originate from India. Furthermore, this enables the products to compete in the global market and simultaneously benefits the craftsmen.
Apart from this, 7 other entries including, UNMA Designs for Godna Tussar stole, Mohammad Arif Khatri for Kota silk, Pallav Chaudhary Textiles for Resist Dyed Stole, M.Rm.Rm. Cultural for Palm leaf storage basket, Tridib Mahanty for Reusable bamboo cutlery, Traditional Rogan Art for Tree of life - Rogan art and Ambika Devi for Village life during Covid - Madhubani painting bagged the award for excellence 2022.
