James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’, a visually stunning sci-fi odyssey will hit theatres again

The celebrated science fiction movie, created by critically acclaimed filmmaker, James Cameron was originally released back in 2009.

James Cameron's 'Avatar' is truly one of the most visually stunning and captivating movies of all time. The movie is one of the highest-grossing movies across all countries and bagged three Oscars in the 82nd Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects, Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction Categories.

The film will be re-released in theatres in India in 4K High Dynamic Range starting on September 23. The movie is best enjoyed in high fidelity, and hardcore fans shouldn't miss out on it!

A captivating story of a futuristic utopia

The movie is set in the year 2154, on a fictional moon in a distant star system, Alpha Centauri named Pandora, which has a habitable atmosphere. The protagonist of the film is a U.S. Marine who has been sent from Earth to acquire intel about the moon's mineral reserves. He slowly develops a bond with the sapient and sentient race of humanoids who live on Pandora.

The VFX and the audio of the movie are truly enthralling and leave the audience in awe. James Cameron's signature style of storytelling almost makes the story seem real to the audience. The filmmaker has previously made renowned blockbusters like 'The Terminator', 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' and 'Titanic'.

A sequel to Avatar in the making

The sequel of the film, 'Avatar: The Way of Water' is also in production right now, and its teaser was released back in May. The sequel itself will be arriving hit the big screen on December 16, this year.
