Indian boxer Ashish Raman Sethi has gone on to script history in India's boxing spectrum. He won the Bangla Stadium Boxing Championship in Thailand's Patong, becoming the first Indian boxer to do so. Ashish won the tournament by knocking his opponent out in the fastest time.

India's passport ranking improves to 80; Citizens can now travel to more places Visa-Free

According to the latest report, India's passport ranking has climbed from 87 in 2022 to 80 this year. With this new and improved ranking, Indian citizens (who are passport holders) will be able to travel to 57 countries without a Visa.

Buoyed by Bajaj Finance, RIL, and ITC, Sensex and Nifty yet again ended the day on a record high. Sensex closed at 67,097.44 after adding 302 points in gains while Nifty added 84 points (or 0.42%) to soar high to a new record at 19,833.15 points.

Centre cuts price of subsidized tomatoes to ₹70/kg

The price of subsidized tomatoes in India has been slashed further by the central government. From Thursday, subsidized tomatoes will be available in the market for ₹70 per kilogramme as opposed to the current price of ₹80 per kilogramme.
