India completes tense evacuation of Hakki Pikki tribe members from Sudan

In another good news regarding the ongoing 'Operation Kaveri', the relatively risky evacuation of members of Karantaka's Hakki Pikki tribe from strife-torn Sudan has been successfully completed. The 71 members of the tribe travelled a whopping 200 kilometers in four buses to reach Port Sudan, from where they were evacuated.

3 out of 4 smartphone users in India suffer from Nomophobia, reports study

In a shocking albeit expected revelation, a latest study has found 3 out of 4 Indians to be suffering from Nomophobia, which is the fear of being detached from one's smartphone. Nearly 72% of all smartphone users in India get anxious when their smartphone's battery drops below 20%, the study further stated.

Dell's new gaming laptops, G15 and G16, launched in India

Dell launched two more gaming laptops in India on Thursday, named G15 and G16. These new gaming laptops from Dell have been powered by the 13th generation Intel Core HX processors and come with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs along with backlit LED displays. The two new gaming laptops, G15 and G16, are priced at ₹89,990 and ₹1,61,990, respectively.

National Green Tribunal penalizes Bihar with ₹4,000 crore for waste management failure

The National Green Tribunal has slapped an environmental compensation of ₹4,000 on Bihar for the state's failure to manage solid and liquid waste scientifically. The state of Bihar will now have to deposit said amount in a ring-fenced account within the period of two months from the date of this order.

Khelo India University Games logo and mascot launched in Lucknow

The official logo, mascot, anthem and jersey for the upcoming Khelo India University Games in UP were launched in a ceremony in Lucknow. The games, which are scheduled to begin on May 25, will feature nearly 7500 top Under-27 athletes from universities across the country. The 10-day sporting event will see games being held in 4 UP cities.

'Pathaan' becomes first Hindi film to release in Bangladesh since 1971

Adding another accolade to its never-ending list, Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathaan' is all set to become the first Hindi film to be released in Bangladesh since 1971. The action film, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is slated to release in Bangladesh on May 12.

Indian art market clocks huge turnover of $144.3 mn in FY 2023

Backed by the sale of 3,833 artworks in the Financial Year 2023, India's art market has posted a massive turnover of $144.3 million, according to a latest report. The market's liquidity was also reported high along with a sell-through rate upwards of 90%.
