"Splitwise check kar lena" to "Ab kuch khaa lete hain" | What kind of a tourist are YOU?

Aditya Vikram

Hello, folks! It's World Tourism Day and we took up the task to categorize the types of tourists we come across or travel with. From the one who plans it all to those who are all too eager to run back to the hotel, here's a brief list for you to find yourself in!

So, tell us! What kind of tourist are you?

"Oye...Splitwise check kar lena..."

When on vacation, nobody really wants to think much about the expenses. After all, you're there to forget about such worries, right? But there are certain folks who simply can't take it easy when it comes to money. And these are the ones to promptly upload any expenses on apps like Splitwise (even the smallest amounts in some extreme cases) and remind you to pay up! NGL, these friends are really important too!

"Ab ruk ke kuch khaa lete hain..."

Travelling can be tiring and keeping your tummy full helps. But some of our foodie buddies take it a step further with their 'eating stoppages'. Before the sightseeing, after the sightseeing, and during the sightseeing, these always-hungry tourists simply can't have enough!

"Ek photo aur le lo please..."

Of course! How could this list not feature the 'Insta feed' and 'Snap streaks' crowd? It won't matter how many pictures they'll have you click, there will always be room for one more in their gallery. In search of the perfect DP, they will pose...and pose...AND pose until they drop.

"Yaar ab vaapis hotel chalte hain..."

From the hungry and photo-hungry, let's move to the rest-hungry folks! These tourists will get their buddies asking, "tum aaye hi kyun trip par?". For some reason, they'd prefer spending more time in their hotel room than exploring around (the most insufferable of the lost, would you say?).

"Maine puri itinerary ready kar li hai..."

Overplanning makes the best of trips feel like a task. And there's always one person in the travelling group who takes up the role of planning everything, from dawn to dusk! If not stopped, these self-appointed captains of the team can turn the trip into an exhausting to-do list.

"Vo waali baat nahi hai yaar..."

Some people are impossible to satisfy, right? They'd be trekking up the most dreamy hill and still say, "Vo waali baat nahi hai yaar...". These critics will leave no stone unturned to make everybody else believe that visiting that particular place wasn't a good idea with their repetitive isse badhiya to vahaan chal dete.

"Mujhe ghar jaana hai..."

Just two days into the trip and they're already waiting for it to end. For some people, all the pre-trip excitement quickly turns to ash when they reach their destination. Picture Alia Bhatt's famous "mujhe ghar jaana hai" scene and tell us if its you or someone you've travelled with?
