Catch Manoj Muntashir & Shreya Ghoshal live at Indore Gaurav Diwas celebrations on May 31

Witness the account of Devi Ahilya’s incredible life in the words of famous lyricist Manoj Muntashir at Rajwada.

The week-long festivities leading up to Indore’s Gaurav Diwas will culminate with a final event on May 31. Along with the CM’s address, the concluding event will include a line-up of star-studded performances. Famous Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal will grace the event with her harmonic voice while lyricist Manoj Muntashir will also perform. Muntashir who gave words to Kabir Singh’s ‘Kaise Hua’ will be reciting his rendition of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar’s life account in his own words.

Indore’s Gaurav Gaan to be introduced on Gaurav Gaan

Alongside performances by Shreya Ghoshal and Manoj Muntashir, the final event of this city wide festival will unveil Indore’s own anthem or Gaurav Gaan as well. A laser show will also be put up for the amusement of the audience. The event, which is rightfully organised on the birth anniversary of Devi Ahilya, will be kickstarted in the Nehru Stadium at 6 PM. The city’s administration urges the citizens of Indore to become a part of the week long celebration which is about to end.

Apart from entertainment, the event will also entail an award ceremony. People who have brought recognition and excellence to Indore in environmental and water conservation, IT, sports, women empowerment, art and literature, business and industrial development and startup ecosystem will be awarded by the Chief Minister.

Gaurav Diwas celebration so far

The festivities commenced on May 25 with a specific theme for each day leading up to May 31. So far, events on water conservation, sports, women empowerment, art and literature, and commercial and industrial development have taken place. Yesterday, on May 29, a Gaurav run was also organised where the city’s youngsters participated in large numbers. There were two stretches that people ran, Nehru Stadium to Rajwada (10 kms) and Nehru Stadium to Palasia (5 kms).
