IIM Indore and Mahila Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam collaborate to empower women entrepreneurs

IIM Indore and MPMVVN will develop projects and bring-out initiatives to further the empowerment of women entrepreneurs develop joint projects.

Indian Institute of Management Indore and Madhya Pradesh Mahila Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam (MPVVN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to encourage sustainable enterprises and empower women entrepreneurs and self-help groups in Madhya Pradesh. This collaboration aims to develop joint projects and initiatives to support various groups and to promote women entrepreneurs.

The aim is to provide courses and training programmes for the employees of MPMVVN such as marketing support, designing certificates, conducting a resource gap analysis, managerial training, just to name a few. Reports suggest that IIM Indore will provide sessions on enhancing leadership and team management skills, sharpening entrepreneurial skills, account keeping, and management operations.

IIM Indore takes another step to empower women

The MoU signals a resolute efforts towards women empowerment, IIM-I is going to provide marketing support to the SHGs for developing sustainable enterprises. The MoU is valid for 3 years during which both organisaions will strive to work towards development and sustainable growth of these groups and women entrepreneurs, they will get immense support to rescale their place in the market.

Moreover, The MoU will help in the skill development of women leaders at various levels, it will also help in identifying and enhancing market support for the products developed in such enterprises. This venture will not only help in the growth of such groups but will also promote the economic growth of the state, with the help of empowered women.
