In Indore, new uniform speed breakers and traffic signals to ensure road safety

As per reports, officials have been given a month to comply with District Road Safety Committee decisions.

In a recent District Road Safety Committee meeting, significant decisions were taken to make road travel in Indore smooth and hassle free. Uniform speed breakers, removal of encroaching, upgraded traffic signals are just some of the initiatives which will be taken care of within a fortnight. As per reports, the same size speed breaker moulds will be used to maintain uniformity across the city.

The meeting was presided over by collector Ilayaraja T and had important personnel such as Manish Agarwal - DGP Traffic, Hitika Vasal - Superintendent of Police (Rural) and officers from related departments.

Safer and smoother road travel in Indore 

As per the meeting report, instructions were passed on to install traffic signals at Nipania Square and at Haat Bazaar, along with adequate lighting at DPS under-bridge. Proper drainage system will be put together to effectively tackle the upcoming monsoon season. Additionally, actions will be taken against illegal parking of buses, auto-rickshaws and loading rickshaws.

To ensure smooth flow of traffic, joint efforts will be made by all departments and strict action will be take against miscreants. All officers were directed to submit a progress report at the meeting, showing compliance with the instructions within a stipulated time frame.
