Days of comfortable commute for Indoris are almost here, as developmental work along Indore Metro has been sped up. Coaches for Indore metro will arrive in August and the month of September has been earmarked for the first trial run as we inch closer to the March 2024 goal of starting metro services in the city.

Alstom Transport is building coaches for Indore metro

Alstom Transport India Ltd, which is also actively manufacturing coaches for Lucknow metro and Delhi metro, are making a total of 75 coaches for Indore. The managing director of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail corporation has already been briefed by said company's technical team regarding the current status and details of the manufacturing process.

In spite of the challenges posed by the pandemic, the state has stuck to its March 2024 target, and the development work on the Indore metro project has been sped up to meet the deadline. If things go as planned, Indoris will be able to commute across the city with convenience from next year.
