Commencement of Track Installation in Three Additional Segments of Metro Corridor in Indore

Three additional metro corridor sections, totaling 2.5 km in length have been completed and transferred for track installation. Most pillars between Robot Square and Radisson Square are also nearing completion, with Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd securing the contract. Construction work for the metro corridor and stations between Gandhi Nagar and MR-10 is also being undertaken by RVNL. The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (MPMRCL) aims to open the Indore Metro to the public by June 2024, connecting Gandhi Nagar (Super Corridor) to Vijay Nagar Station.

Holkar Science College Embarks on Organic Mushroom Cultivation Journey

Botany department students at Government Holkar Science College have delved into the realm of cultivating organic mushrooms right on the college campus. Employing homemade compost and maintaining a controlled environment equipped with essential facilities, the students have established an ideal setting for nurturing these nutrient-rich fungi. Currently, the initiative yields 2-3 kilograms of organic button mushrooms daily, which are sold at a rate of ₹100 per 200 grams. This endeavour has offered the students a practical education in both agriculture and entrepreneurship.
