Enhancing Accessibility: MGM Buildings Set to Become Disability-Friendly

The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College is improving its buildings to be more accessible for people with disabilities. They are adding steel support guards for walking assistance and installing ramps. This decision was prompted by a disabled student's complaint about difficulties moving around campus. In response, the college initiated a tender process to install support guards and construct ramps in administrative blocks, select classrooms, the community medicine department, and certain hospital buildings.

Early Voters in Indore to Enjoy Complimentary Poha and Jalebi During Madhya Pradesh Polls

Shop owners at '56 Dukan,' a popular food spot in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, plan to provide complimentary poha and jalebi to encourage early voting during the upcoming assembly elections on November 17. Those who vote in the morning will receive these snacks upon displaying the ink mark on their finger. The offer is valid until 9 am on Election Day, and afterward, all voters will receive a 10% discount on their poha-jalebi bill for the entire day.

Elderly and Disabled Residents of Indore to Vote via Videography

Efforts are underway to boost voter turnout in the upcoming assembly elections. The Election Commission has introduced a new initiative for elderly individuals over 80 and those with disabilities. They can opt to vote from home, avoiding the polling station. Form 12-D will be provided by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who will visit their homes for collection. In Indore, over 31,000 elderly voters are eligible for this service. The distribution of Form 12-D has commenced and will continue until October 20, with voting scheduled for November 17.

A musical event titled 'Lekar Hum Deewana Dil' took place at the Rabindra Natyagriha, hosted by the Agravansh organisation and Star Fans Club. Pushpa Mittal and Sanjeev Srivastava, a Customs and CGST superintendent, were recognized by the Agravansh organisation.

Clouds will cover Indore, night temperature will increase

Meteorologists from the Bhopal weather center predict a cloudy and drizzly start to the week in Indore. The city will experience two days of initial cloud cover with the possibility of drizzle in some areas. During the first three days, residents can expect a warm, humid climate, with nighttime temperatures 2 to 3 degrees above the usual. The city currently experiences cloud cover, resulting in higher nighttime temperatures but a cooler morning feel.
