COVID-19 recoveries in Indore surge higher than fresh infections for 5 days in succession!

From May 5, MY Hospital in Indore will provide about 100 COVID beds to tackle the infection rise.

While Indore has been charting an unsubsiding course of COVID infection, the exceeding tallies of recoveries are harnessing a relevant respite. As per the reports of the health department, the rate of infections and new cases is falling short in comparison to the rate of recoveries and discharges in Indore, progressing healing trends. The district logged in 1,821 new cases and 2,601 recoveries on Sunday, marking the fifth consecutive day of negative active caseload.

Even as the rate of coronavirus transmission has shot up at 2.4% in Indore and other districts of Madhya Pradesh, the ramped up treatment services in the city are furnishing commendable achievement. At present, Indore is nursing an active ratio of 14.8% with 11,201 cases, curbing the second wave swell. On the other hand, fatality is pacing at 1% here, resulting in 8 deaths in the last 24 hours.

In order to further boost this heightened recovery, MY Hospital in Indore will establish 100 COVID beds from May 5, informed officials. These will include 20 ICUs 40 HDUs and 40 oxygen beds. Patients can avail of several benefits from the listed added resources.

New COVID facility at Sanwer

Meanwhile, another 120-bed COVID facility was inaugurated at the evening PG College campus in Sanwer Panchayat of the Indore district, on Saturday. As of Sunday, this too has been inducted into the treatment machinery to shoulder the burden of COVID patients on the existing medical infrastructure. Although the treatment facility is nursing patients with common COVID symptoms, 7 oxygen concentrators have further been provided to ensure emergency help for critical patients.

Other facilities such as free food, water and breakfast will also be provided here. For recreation and activity, yoga will be practised here. This will boost the patients' morale, read reports. Apart from this, films, bhajans and television serials based on religious themes will also be shown. A team of health department officials and paramedical staff has also been stationed here for the benefit of the patients.
