The second phase of RTE Act admissions to begin from August 4 in Indore

Students who could not avail seats in the first round of admissions can participate in the second phase.

The State Education Department has announced the commencement of the second phase of admissions under the Right To Education Act from August 4, 2021. This round will be an additional attempt for the students to procure vacant seats at private schools in Indore. As per the Director of state Education Centre, only those students who had registered and failed to get a seat in the primary round will be considered during the second phase applications.

According to the announced timelines, registered students can update school choices from August 4 to August 11, 2021. Post this, the online lottery of seats, for the RTE Act admissions will be conducted on August 14, 2021. The admission procedure will begin soon in succession to this on August 16, read reports. The last set of enrollments will be held on August 25.

Over 13,000 students in Indore had applied to procure admission under the Right to Education Act, in the initial phase of the act. Of these, around 12,816 were promised private schools seat, at the expense of the state. In the second phase, the lottery will be held only for the remaining pool of these verified applications. The digital platform of applications presently only has the 'school choice' column open for updates or changes.
