Indian Railways to flag off special 'South India Darshan' train from Indore on November 27

Online reservations for 'South Indian Darshan' have begun on the IRCTC official website

In a bid to revive tourism in the southern states of the country, the Indian Railways has decided to flag off the 'South Indian Darshan' special train from Indore. Through this attractive tour package, the special train will take people across several prominent places in Madhya Pradesh, starting November 27. Online reservations of this train have already started on the IRCTC official website. Booking can also be done through our Tourist Facilitation Center and Regional Offices.

An all-inclusive Pilgrim Special Tourist Train

A special train has been scheduled to offer an affordable South India tour package to people across Madhya Pradesh. The journey will extend for up to 10 days and 9 nights, which will include a visit to various temples in the Deccan region. This Pilgrim Special Tourist Train is one of the most inclusive of all IRCTC's tours and the itinerary includes the Mallikarjuna Yatra along with travel to Tirupati, Rameswaram, Madurai and Kanyakumari.

As for the ticket fare, the IRCTC has come up with 2 plans based on the AC and sleeper division, as the 10-coach train has an equal number of AC and sleeper rakes. The fare for the AC class has been fixed at 15,750 per person, while the sleeper coaches are more economic, starting at ₹9,450 per passenger. The price package covers train and bus ticket fares, hotel stay, meals, guides and escort as well as baggage insurance.

While this train is set to depart from the Indore Junction, people can also board the journey from Dewas, Ujjain, Shujalpur, Sehore, Habibganj, Hoshangabad, Itarsi and Betul stations. The train will return to Indore on December 6, 2021.
