Shukla added that the scheme is likely to be launched during Auto Expo, this year. The state government is planning to invite various stakeholders, such as manufacturers of EVs, commercial, earth movers and component makers to showcase their new launches during Auto Expo in Indore. This step will ensure the promotion of the EV scheme at a larger scale in the state.
Meetings to strengthen the network of automakers, dealers and component manufacturers, buyer-seller will also be organised at the Expo that is set to be held at two places in the city -- at the automobile testing facility at National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) in Pithampur and at another destination for which the location is still being identified.
