Amid the declining threat of coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh, the state administration has released a new set of guidelines to manage the phased unlock in Indore and other districts to ensure normalcy across the territory. Plans are underway to reopen markets in the state from June 1, however, distinguished provisions have been charted to minimise the scaling surge of coronavirus cases here. Meanwhile, the weekend curfew will remain in order across MP.

As per reports, the state government has divided all districts into two primary categories- namely, those nursing over 5% test positivity rate and those with less than the 5% ratio. It may be noted that only 4 of the 52 MP districts are currently shoulder over 5% of COVID positivity, including Indore, Bhopal, Sagar and Morena while others have reported less than the 5% benchmark. Based on this classification, separate guidelines have been issued regarding the phase unlock.
The state had set up a group of ministers to review the opening of markets in MP and recommend other relaxations for the benefit of the common man. The reports prepared by these have been relayed to District Crisis Management groups, who will announce the final decision about the unlock process on May 31, after discussing the suggested relaxations.
The CM highlighted that the unlock guidelines will be different for the two categories of districts. The state will also reinforce curbs if the infection soars after relaxations.

The government is yet to give a final decision regarding the opening of colleges, schools, coaching centres, shopping malls, cinema halls etc. However, the markets will open and close at the prescribed times. Public, entertainment and religious programmes or gathering will not be permitted.
Only 4 people will be allowed to enter a temple at a time, the state ordered. Only 10 persons will be able to attend a funeral and 20 persons would be permitted to attend a marriage event. The weekend curfew will continue from Saturday night from 10 PM to 6 AM till Monday.
The Madhya Pradesh MP stated that the Kill Corona campaign will extend in all rural and urban areas as a mass movement against the pandemic. State officials have been tasked to segregate areas into red, green and yellow zones, according to the spread of the infection. Restrictions should be implemented in these regions accordingly. In line with this, micro containment zones can also be created in two or four houses, the CM said, adding that infection must not spread at any cost.
Patients suffering from fever, common cold, cough and other problems will be traced and treated with the help of free medical list. Vaccinations, on the other hand, has been tagged a protective shield against the growth of COVID-19 infection.
People should be made aware of the benefits of the vaccine jabs and all their misconceptions about the same must be tackled. Every citizen over 18 years must get the COVID-19 shot and wastage must be minimised to attain 100% achievement of the inoculation target.
