As per official reports, the daily cases in the third wave peaked on January 22, at 3,372 infections. Thus the recent decline has encouraged the authorities to lift all the COVID-19 restrictions in the state. People are now free to hold public gatherings without an upper limit on the number of attendees. All schools, colleges, hostels, and offices are also allowed to operate at full capacity.

Besides, religious, social, political, sports, and educational events are permitted, without any restrictions. The authorities have, however, urged the public to display COVID-19 appropriate behaviour since the risk of infection is not completely evaded.
