On his appointment as the new director of IIT Indore, Joshi told media that he takes over the position with great humility. He continued to say that in its 13 years, the institute has done exceedingly well in the areas of research, welfare, academics, global presence, and outreach. “I acknowledge the able leadership and vision of my predecessors and would like to take it forward”, he added.
Joshi was appointed director on Thursday, January 10. But earlier this month he contracted the virus and was isolated, hence the delay in taking charge.
