The Director of State Education Centre informed that the two-day extension window has been made available so that no eligible child is left deprived due to delay in the admission procedure, especially in the light of the present-day COVID scenario. As per the digital timeline, the last date of online application for free admission in private schools was fixed on July 9 and at the verification centre, on July 10.
Reportedly, around 1.72 lakh students had completed the verification procedure across Madhya Pradesh by July 10. A two-day extended period has been awarded as grace to parents to complete the verification step. After today, no new application will be processed for verification.
A total of 1.99 lakh students have applied for this special provision, which holds the availability of 2.84 seats. For the verification process, candidates must bring their parents or guardians to the public education centre, with the listed original documents:
Any application that is not verified will be automatically cancelled. According to the state's plan, an online lottery will be held on July 16 to allot free seats to the children found eligible during the verification.
More than 13,000 students in Indore have applied to procure admission under the Right to Education Act. Of these, around 12,816 will be provided with seats in private schools in the district, free of cost.
