Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) is all set to present its ₹6,000 crore budget today, which will initiate a number of new projects in the city. Most notable among them will be a 10,000 capacity convention center in Indore. A land of 17 hectares has already been earmarked in the super corridor for the convention center and the procedure to get all the necessary nods for the project has been sped up.

12 over bridges to also come up in Indore

Apart from the new convention center, a slew of other projects have also been taken up including the construction of 12 new over bridges in Indore. Out of these dozen new flyovers, work has already begun on bridges at Bhanvarakuan, Lav kush chouraha (will be a double decker bridge), Khajrana and Footi kothi.

International Children's Park also incoming

To give children in Indore an amazing new spot to have fun, an international children's park will also come up in the city, near Sayaji hotel. The park will be built on the lines of Amzica park in Pune and will include a number of fun activities for children.

Lastly, the upcoming IMC budget will also focus on making Indore a solar city. It is noteworthy that efforts for amping up Indore's capacity to generate solar energy have been sped up lately, with a target of meeting a minimum of 10% of Indore's electricity demand with solar energy by 2027.
